*trommelwirbel* voller Freude können wir euch diese wunderbare Band in unseren dunklen Gemäuern präsentieren. Vom Youtube Channel auf die Bühne!

Molchat Doma (translated as “Houses Are Silent”), founded in 2017 in Minsk, Belarus, stands at the intersection of post-punk, new-wave and synth-pop. Dark yet danceable, and with a heavy dose of goth ethos, their music is reminiscent of the masters that predate them, but make no mistake: Molchat Doma creates a sound and meaning that is immediately recognizable as all their own. The band is comprised of Egor Shkutko, who sings the Russian lyrics in his deep monotone, Roman Komogortsev on guitar, synths, and drum machine, and Pavel Kozlov on bass and synths. Their second LP, Этажи (pronounced Etazhi, meaning “Floors”) was released in 2018 on Berlin-based Detriti Records. It has sold out four times and is currently on its fifth repressing due to outstandingdemand. Этажи has garnered over one million views on Youtube. Despite playing to packed clubs in Warsaw, Helsinki and Berlin, they are still flying under the radar in their native Belarus.

Mala Herba (synth witch craft, minimal dark wave)

is a solo project of a sound artist and queer music activist Zosia Hołubowska. Based on traditional music, magic and demonology of Eastern Europe, Mala Herba explores queerness and sexpositivity. Powerful, witchy vocals are weaved into hypnotic beats, cold base lines and romantic synthesizer melodies. There's something gothic and dramatic to it but nevertheless "this" makes you dance. Sometimes the melody cracks, the voice becomes a magic spell and the song transforms into a noise soundscape. But then the arppegio kicks back in and your bones resonate with the italodisco inspired bass and rhythm.

Johnny Geiger

Skin, flesh and bones, wrapped in cloth" // "Scared to be here now. Even scared to be human." On her second solo release »Human« Johnny Geiger (1/4 of POSTMAN) squints through the paper-thin slit between echo-laden half-sleep and hard-hitting reality, wearing her heart on her sleeve when she takes us on dark & intimate trips through (in)human condition, charged by desire and dismay. Meet you at the joints of heart & brain!
